Wilayat, spirit of Salaat
Imam Saadeq (PBUH) has said:
… Thus if one has confessed our Wilayat', then he has died upon it (Wilayat), his Salaat (specified prayers) and his Sawm (specific fasting) and his Zakaat (designated financial payments) and his Hajj (defined pilgrimage) have been accepted; and if he has not confessed our Wilayat before Allah -Grand is His Glory-, Allah -the Undefeatable and Magnificent- will never accept anything from his deeds … .

It has been repeatedly stated by the infallible ones (PBUT) that Salaat is the Pole and support of the Religion of Allah; but the vital point is that tens of times more, the infallible ones have clarified that Salaat is absolutely not accepted without the Wilayat of the AhlulBayt (PBUT); i.e. that which upholds the Religion of Allah, is the obedience to Allah. Wilayat of the Prophet Mohammad and his Infallible AhlulBayt (PBUT) has been ordained by Allah. The aforesaid Hadith is only one of many such Hadiths.
Today he, whose Wilayat is the key for acceptance of deeds, is Imam Mahdi (PBUH) …
