Fifth star of the Ever-Blue sky

Once again it is the glorious month of Rajab, and the hearts of the Shi'ah are overflowing with celestial love and joy.

But the main reason for our eternal love and joy, is because of the beautiful fact that thanks to the AhlulBayt's (PBUT) Bestowed Knowledge which they (PBUT) have so benevolently shared with humankind, the Heavenly Path to Everlasting Salvation has remained Ever-clear and Lightful, for those who truly seek it. How can one ever thank those who have shown him the way to Eternal Salvation?!

And we commence the Heavenly month of Rajab, with the birth anniversary of the fifth Star from the Ever-Blue Sky of Imamat and Wilayat, Imam Muhammad Baaqer (PBUH), who was the first Imam with the Prophet's name, and his profound and meaningful title -Baaqer, meaning the Analyzer of Knowledge- was also mentioned by the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH&HP) himself.

The Prophet (PBUH&HP) gave the good news to his very special companion, Jaaber son of Abdullah Ansaari, that he would remain alive to meet a descendant of the Prophet through Imam Hosain (PBUT), who would have the same name as the Prophet and would be the Baaqer who would Analyze the Divine Knowledge as promised in the Torah; and the Prophet (PBUH&HP) asked Jaaber to deliver the Prophet's Salaam to his great great grandson. Many years passed from this prophecy of the Prophet (PBUH&HP) and Jaaber became a very old man; one day Jaaber was at Imam Sajjaad's (PBUH) presence and he noticed a very special youth. Jaaber who due to old age, had very low vision, requested the youth to go closer to him; Jaaber swore by Allah that he looked so much like the Prophet. Jaaber asked Imam Sajjaad (PBUH) in regard to him, and the Imam introduced him as his son Muhammad Baaqer who was going to be the next Imam after him. Jaaber started to cry while falling on his feet and holding him tight, and he delivered the Prophet's Salaam … .

Imam Baaqer's (PBUH) eyes were filled with tears and said, Salaam be upon my Ancestor, the Prophet of Allah (PBUH&HP), as long as the earths and Heavens will be standing, and Salaam be upon you, O' Jaaber, for delivering his Salaam to me … .

(Behaar-Ol-Anwaar, vol. 46; …)

O' Allah! The Merciful! We implore You to deliver our most sincere Salaams to the last reminder of the AhlulBayt whom the Believers have been Anticipating since the beginning of creation, and to hasten his Ever-Promised Appearance so that the entire humankind will realize the magnificence of the Knowledge held by Imam Mahdi (PBUH) … and then, many shall be sorry why they had not sought their (PBUT) Knowledge, and sincerely and constantly prayed for his (PBUH) Emergence sooner … .
