Anniversary of Fatima Ma'soomah Demising

When Imam Reza (PBUH) was summoned to Khoraasaan by Ma'moon (The oppressor ruler of the time), many of the Shi'ah traveled from Medina to visit the eight Imam, Divine successor of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP).among those were the sister of Imam Reza (PBUH), Lady Fatima Ma'soomah who was very young .During the long trip, many events happened including confrontations with the government troops who were the enemies of the Prophet Mohammad and his progeny (PBUT). During this long and hard journey, lady Fatima Ma'soomah (PBUH) became ill and passed away and she was buried in the city of Qom. Around her burial place in Qom, a Mosque was later built and pilgrims go to visit the sanctified site every day.

Imam Reza (PBUH) has said:

Whoever visits Fatima Ma'soomah in Qom is like he/she who has visited me (in Khoraasaan)

Lady Fatima Ma'soomah was a specially gifted and blessed person. Her significant pious status is quuite impressive. The Sixth Imam had
given the good news about her celestial position before her birth :

Imam Saadeq (PBUH) has said:

"
A lady from my children whose name will be Fatima, daughter of Musa, will die in Qom. On the Day of Judgment this lady will intercede (Shafaa'ah) for all my Shi'ah to enter Heaven."

Today is the sad anniversary of her demising. May Allah secure our hearts with the love of such heavenly personalities.
