Loving Imam Ali (PBUH)

It is truly impossible to depict someone like Imam Ali (PBUH), but it is Ramadan -the month when Imam Ali (PBUH) was martyred- again and our hearts beat for him.

How can we describe Ali (PBUH) when non-Muslims have been astonished by his personality; Dr. George Gordagh – a Christian scholar- in his book, “Ali, The Voice of Human Justice, “ says:

“O' mother nature! it would have been wonderful of you if you would have employed all your powers and potentials to once again give birth to a great man, a genius and a hero such as Imam Ali... .”

We have to let Dr.Gordagh know that what he had wished for, has already happened. After Imam Ali, there was Imam Hassan; after Imam Hassan, there was Imam Hossain; ... ; and today there is Mahdi (PBUT). The Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP), his daughter Fatima and the twelve infallible Imams (PBUT) are all manifestation of Divine light.

We love Imam Ali (PBUH) with all our hearts and surely we loathe the man who was too blind to see the light of Imam Ali (PBUH) and killed him. It is impossible to love both Imam Ali (PBUH) and Ebn-Moljam (Ali's murderer) with one heart:

Allah has not made for any man two hearts in his body ... .

(Qur'an, Surah Ahzaab, verse 4)

Regarding this verse, Imam Saadeq (PBUH) has said that loving the Ahl-Ol-Bait and their enemies too, is impossible. Truly, how could one love the revealer of Divine light and the concealer of it, with one lightful heart?!

Today, we love Mahdy (PBUH) with all our hearts and not those who intentionally and knowingly, turn their backs to Mahdi and would have harmed him -if they could have seen him- in order to gain their worldly purposes. Let us sincerely implore Allah for Mahdi's Appearance in this most blessed month of Ramadan ... .
