Ascension of Mohammad (PBUH&HP)

This whole Universe, from a tiny atom and its tremendous hidden energies, to a bee and its healing honey, to human and all his unbelievable and complex physical and spiritual characteristics which have astonished every intellectual mind, to the earth and the sun and their miraculous life-giving bounties, to the Milky way galaxy -a diminutive and small galaxy- which is spread to a period of one lakh light years -i.e. if one intends to travel from one end of this galaxy to the other end, it will take him one lakh years to traverse the distance, with the speed of light (which is 3 lakh kilometers per second)-, to the entire existance -both what is known to mankind and that which is not-, is created by one Creator.

A Creator who is All-wise, All-knowing, All-loving, Ever-living, Ever-seeing, Ever-hearing, ...; a Creator whose Knowledge and Power encompass everything; a Creator who does not attain perfection as time passes, rather He was All-perfect yesterday, He is All-perfect today and He shall be All-perfect tomorrow; an unlimited Creator who is beyond the comprehension of all limited phenomena... . Such a Creator does not do anything without a reason, without an aim; everything He does is based upon His perfect wisdom, knowledge, love, ...:

What! Did you then considered that We have created you in vain and that you will not be returned to us?!

(Qur’an, Surah Mo’menoon[23], verse 115)

Qur'an emphasizes upon the fact that humankind has been created so that he may attain the perfect status of being an obedient Abd and Servant (Qur’an, Surah Zaaryyaat, verse 56). Many humans throughout history have tried to make other humans to be their obedient servants but the key point to keep in mind, is that such people have demanded other people's servitude for their personal gains and not for the benefit of humankind; but the Omnipotent and Omniscient Allah does not need anything and anybody, anything and anybody whatsoever, while we need Him for every breath we take, for every move we make... . If all of us disobey Allah, that does not harm Him a bit, rather we lose the celestial opportunity to achieve the peaceful and satisfying perfection of humbleness; and not humbleness before any arrogant creation, rather humbleness before the All-compassionate and All-merciful Creator, If we wish to offer a gift to our loving Creator whom we love so much, what can we offer Him?! Usually when we love someone, we try to give that person something special, something he does not have; but what is it that Allah does not have?! Everything belongs to Allah. There is only one thing that Allah does not have and we can offer that to Him; Allah does not have any needs and we can present our needs to Him; our neediness is the mirror of His needlessness. We offer Him our humbleness; we confess that we need Him and He does not need us and that is the only thing we can offer Him in the path of trying to thank Him for all He does for us, and of course we can never, ever truly thank Him. A friend of the Prophet Yusof (PBUH) wanted to give him a gift but he could not find anything more beautiful than Yusof to offer him; so, he gave Yusof (PBUH) a mirror and said that he was the most beautiful and a mirror reflecting his beauty was the most beautiful gift that he could think of; yes, our perfect obedience and humbleness is a mirror which reflects Allah's Omnipotence; our neediness is a mirror which reflects Allah's needlessness... . What else can we offer Allah whom we love so much?!

O' Allah! show us the way, for that we seek the way toward You;

And the way toward You, we only ask of You and no one but You!

From day one when Allah delegated His Prophets (PBUT) successively, He had a glorious plan; the celestial plan of uniting humankind under the most benevolent law, under the flag of Allah. Serving the Compassionate and Merciful Allah -the Lord who needs not, human's servitude- is human's honor; when we fall in prostrate before Allah and we place our foreheads on His land, on Torbat, we confess that we are nothing before Him and He is everything; we announce that we serve no one but our one and only Creator and this gives us honor and dignity and defines our identity. Walking in the path that the All-knowing Lord has specified, leads us to the fountain of everlasting life, whereas walking in the paths that others have defined, lead us to dustful and waterless mirages.

Allah delegated Prophets to humankind and has prepared human's state of mind for a glorious future; this readiness is to be transferred from one generation to another until the Promised Day.

On that unforgettable night when the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) -the most perfect and beloved creation of Allah- ascended to heavens (Me'raaj) ... :

Sobhaan (Glory,... ) be to Him who made His Abd (obedient servant, Mohammad) go on a night, from the Sacred Mosque to the Remote Mosque of which we blessed its precincts so that we may show to him some of our Signs, surely, He is the Ever-hearing, the Ever-seeing.

(Qur’an, Surah Asra[17], verse 1)

It is important to mention that the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) had over 120 Ascensions (Basaa’er-O-Ddarajaat, narrated from Imam Saadeq -PBUH-); in addition to the aforesaid verse, other verses in Qur’an also -such as in Surah Najm- talk about the Prophet’s Ascensions. As the aforementioned verse indicates, Allah showed some of His Signs to His Prophet; In the book Kaafi, it is stated that, in the Prophet’s Ascension, the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) led a congregational prayer -in which, all previous Divine Prophets (PBUT), brought by Allah, were present- and the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) asked them all about that which they confess to, and they all confessed to the Prophethood of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP). Also it is narrated in Elal-O-Shsharaayye’,Tafsir Borhaan,… that the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) was commanded by Allah -when Mohammad was permitted to Ascend higher than where no Angel and Prophet was ever allowed-, the “walaayat and successorship” of Ali (PBUH). [the Hadithes regarding the Ascensions of the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) are so astonishing, beautiful and numerous, here we are only presenting a brief indication to make a very important point; Allah-willing, we shall narrate more details in other writings.] In a meaningful Hadith from Imam Reza (PBUH), it is mentioned that the “walaayat” of Mohammad and his progeny (PBUT) was mentioned in all Books of Divine Prophets and that no Prophet was appointed unless by confession to the Prophethood of Mohammad and walaayat of Ali -PBUT- (Behaar-Ol-Anwaar,… ); it is so sad that malevolent people distorted Divine Books as they did and it is so comforting that Qur’an was protected from distortions (please see the articles regarding Qur’an in this site). It is quite clear that the path of human creation was defined based on the obedience of Mohammad and his progeny (PBUT) -as the most perfect and best creations of Allah whose obedience is the same as the obedience of Allah and their Rulership in the Final Days, which will unite humankind, shall be the manifestation of Allah’s Rulership- and all Prophets (PBUT) had commanded their followers regarding Mohammad and his Progeny (PBUT), as briefly mentioned in the article “And Mohammad (PBUH&HP) came… “ in this site.

Yes, the path to Eternity, the path to honor and dignity, the path to human identity has been defined by Allah, the most benevolent... . Acknowledgement of, confession to and humbleness before the Divinely bestowed lordship (walaayat) of Mohammad and his infallible progeny (PBUT) is the Right Path to perfect obedience, to Oboodyyat, to everlasting Salvation; and that is the aim of human creation as defined by Allah ... .
