In commemoration of one of the most auspicious occasions of the entire history of humankind, the glorious birth anniversary of Imam Mahdi (PBUH) -the Savior of humankind-, we continue the Qur'anic analysis of the Divine Aim of creation of humankind …

Aim of creation – II

In the article "Aim of creation - I" we, using Qur'an and Hadith, presented the fact that Allah has defined the Aim of human creation in Obedience and Oboodyyat, through the recognition of the infallible Imam of each era. In this writing, we wish to explore the heavenly depth of yet another wonderful Qur'anic verse:

Allah has Promised to those of you who Believe, and do Good (Saalehaat), that He will most certainly make them Rulers in earth, as He made rulers those before them; and He shall most surely establish for them, their religion which He (Allah) is “Pleased” for them; and that He will most certainly, after their fear, give them security in exchange. They shall Obey Me (Allah), not associate aught with Me; and whoever is unbeliever after that, they are those who are the transgressors.

(Qur'an, Surah Noor, verse 55)

This verse is so beautiful and profound that a few statements in a limited writing can never do it justice; we are only going to attempt to have a glance at a few delightful aspects, as revealed by the Ahl-Ol-Bait (PBUT).

The aforementioned Qur'anic verse Promises that some glorious day, the Religion which Allah is "Pleased" with, will encompass the entire earth; but, what is the Religion that Allah is "Pleased" with? To answer this question, let us look at, two other beautiful and profound Qur'anic verses:

This Day, I (Allah) have perfected for you, your Religion; and completed My bounties upon you; and I am “Pleased” with "Islam" as "Religion" for you.

(Qur'an, Surah Maa'edah, verse 3)

Also, Allah has clearly clarified in Qur'an that "Islam" is the only Accepted Religion:

And anyone who seeks a religion other than "Islam", then it shall never be accepted from him, and in the Hereafter, he shall be of the losers.

(Qur’an, Surah Ale-Emraan, verse 85)

Verse 3 of Surah Maa'edah was revealed on the Day of Ghadir; after the formal allegiance-seeking and appointment of Ali, and the descendants of the Prophet from Ali (PBUT), as the Allah-chosen Guardians and "walies" of humankind until the Judgment Day; Allah clearly announced -through the revelation of verse 3 of Surah Maa’edah on that unforgettable Day of Ghadir- that He had become “Pleased” with "Islam" as the Religion for humankind; i.e. "Islam" -the only Accepted Religion by Allah- which Allah is “Pleased” with, is the "Islam" which has been perfected through the Allah-bestowed "walaayat" (Divinely ordained lordship) of the Ahl-Ol-Bait (PBUT). The Ahl-Ol-Bait have not only been revealing the Divine interpretation, Ta'wil, heart and… of Qur'anic verses, but they -among other responsibilities- have also been protecting Qur'an from distortions (we cordially invite you to read the articles: "How has Qur'an been protected from distortions?" and "Ghadir, heart of Qur'an" in this site).

"Islam" at the pinnacle of perfection and completion, is Qur'an with the Ahl-ol-Bait (PBUT). Based on Qur'an and Allah's command, the Prophet (PBUH&HP)declared over and over -through the "Hadith of Thaqalain" and alike- the inseparability of Qur'an and his Ahl-Ol-Bait (please also see the article: "Only God" in this site).

Thus, Allah in verse55 of Surah Noor, is giving the Promise that some glorious day, the "perfect Islam" -which He is "Pleased" with- shall encompass the entire existence. In the same verse, Allah has revealed that , when this encompassment will occur, then "They shall Obey Me, not associate aught with Me"; in another words, the celestial "Aim of creation" of Obedience and worship of Allah, the one and only Creator (with no consideration to, and humility before any other created deity) -which leads humankind towards perfection and therefore, towards true bliss and satisfaction- shall be accomplished after the ever-Anticipated Appearance of our beloved Mahdi (PBUH).

In the article "Aim of creation - I" we had presented the following Qur'anic verse:

I (Allah) have not Created the Jinn and the Human, except for that they should serve and obey me (le-Ya’bodoon).

(Qur’an, Surah Zaaryyaat, verse 56)

Therefore, the “Aim of creation” of the creations -as defined by the Creator, which is the Obedience of the Creator (Allah), and according to the chosen representatives of Allah, it is achieved through the true recognition of the chosen infallible Imam of each era- shall be accomplished, at its pinnacle of perfection, after Mahdi's (PBUH) Appearance; because, at that magnificent time, every creation in the entire world of existence will truly recognize and realize the Divinely bestowed status of the Imam of their era; they will comprehend from the bottom of their hearts that the Obedience of Allah is through His beloved Mahdi; they will realize that claiming to love Allah, is sincere only when -as commanded by Allah- Allah's chosen ones are loved, appreciated and obeyed.

Many enlightening Hadithes verify that verse 55 of Surah Noor is about the Anticipated Qaa'em of Mohammad's progeny -PBUT- (Tafsirs Noor-O-Ththaqalain, Ayyaashi, Ali-Ebne-Ibrahim-Qoomi,… ); in one of those Hadithes which has been quoted from at least three infallible Imams (PBUT), it has been confirmed that Mahdi (PBUH) shall be the one who shall accomplish that Promise, and the Hadith continues that Mahdi is he whom Prophet Mohammad (PBUH&HP) has talked about:

If there is not but one day left of this world, surely Allah shall prolong that day until a man from my "Etrat" shall establish lordship, his name shall be my name; he shall fill the earth with equity and justice, as it is rife with oppression and injustice.

(Tafsir Ayyaashi,… )

O' our beloved Mahdi! Your wonderful Appearance -which is a definite Promise of Allah and there is absolutely no doubt about it- shall be the beautiful manifestation of humankind's Aim of creation on this earth, whether some dark-hearted people like it or not:

He (Allah) is who has sent His Rasool (Apostle/Messenger) with Guidance and the True Religion, so that He shall cause it (the True Religion) to prevail over all religions; even if polytheists dislike.

(Qur'an, Surah Tobah, verse 33;… )

The moment that you enter the privacy of our imagination;

from our eager eyes, fall the tears of Anticipation.

How delightful it is, sitting in the private world of hearts;

feeling your magnificence, far from peoples and crowds.

If you step into the eyes of our hearts, peaceful it feels;

sitting in a lonely corner, watching the streams of tears.
