Imamat period of the fourth Imam of the Shi'ah -Ali son of Hossain (PBUT)- was after Aashoora, therefore the Imam was under close surveillance of the Bani-Omayyah; the only way the Imam could propagate the profound and celestial values and beliefs of Islam was through prayers and supplications so that the ruling party would not get suspicious of his activities.
