Islam is built upon five things; Salaat (obligatory prayers), Zakaat (finantial obligations), Hajj (special pilgrimage), Saw’m (fasting) and walaayat (Divinely bestowed lordship of Mohammad and his progeny -PBUT-); and nothing has ever been called for, as much as walaayat. But people have accepted four and forsaken walaayat; I swear to Allah, if a person prays all nights and fasts all days and dies without walaayat, his/her praying and fasting shall not be accepted.
