Warning … Danger … Wake up! Part 5

Warning … Danger … Wake up!

Part 5

Thus we have to pay attention that just because some may have better financial situations in this world, that does not mean they are necessarily more successful and prosperous than those who have less … true prosperity is having the precious blessing of Wilayat and thus Allah’s Pleasedness …

Qur’an 20:131 And do not stretch your eyes after that with which We have provided different groups of them, (of) the splendor of this world's life, that We may thereby try them; and the sustenance (given) by your Lord is better and more abiding.

It must also be kept in mind that sometimes the All-Wise and All-Just Allah rewards, right here in this world, the good deeds that some disbelievers- even while drowned in sins- may accomplish in this world, such as different acts of charity and … (although the intentions are worldly); so that they, due to their disbelief, remain drowned in the mirage of independence from Allah … and when it comes the Hereafter they cannot have any claim too … and their worldly deeds will not have any eternal reward …

Qur’an 5:27 …THIS IS IT AND NOTHING BUT THIS, Allah only accepts from the Mottaqin (those with Taqwa).

This verse is clearly indicating that ONLY the acts, deeds and ... of people with "Taqwa" are accepted by Allah; in other words, the good deeds of a person who does not possess Qur'anic Taqwa, i.e. does not believe in the "Ghayb" and Imam Mahdi (PBUH) and ... (Qur’an 2:2,3; …), do not earn Divine and Eternal acceptance and rewards.

Believing or not believing is the celestial distinguishing criterion set by Allah Himself for evaluation of deeds and their eternal acceptance. At the same time, Allah being All-Just, does not disregard any good deed, even the good deeds of non-believers; but the key point is that, for the non-believers, Allah -if He Pleases- pays them back in this world or at time of their death or …; while in the Qiyamat –the Judgment Day- they will have nothing in their deed-books, and therefore they will not be taken to Heaven; in addition, it must be kept in mind that Heaven and Hell also have different levels and positions, and Allah -the All-Wise and the Merciful- considers many factors in placement of people, as He Wills.

Many Hadiths indicate this issue; for instance Imam Sadiq (PBUH) has narrated from the Prophet Mohammad (PBUH & HP) who has said that every unbelieving person who has good deeds in the world, Allah -the Exalted-, in order to compensate him for his deeds, gives him fame, recognition, chiefship and various worldly pleasures, so that he will enjoy the favors of this world, and then in the Hereafter, he will no longer deserve any rewards; and to compensate him for his bad deeds such as Kufr and intended wrong doings, he will be committed to Hell(Ma'ad wa ‘Adl, …).

In other words, it is as if a non-believer with good deeds, has opened an account in the "Bank of this world" and has deposited into it his worldly good deeds; but he has not opened an account in the "Bank of the Hereafter" and has not deposited into it Wilayat, Divine Beliefs, Taqwa and …; therefore, when the Judgment Day arrives, his account in the "Bank of the Hereafter" will be empty, no matter how much savings he had in the "Bank of this world" which had already been returned to him in this world and … by Allah; of course sometimes the compensations will be in other forms, more details are given in Islamic Hadiths which we refer the interested readers to. Here, we are only making a general yet very important point so that Believers -by observing some unbelieving and non-Shi'ah, even sinful, people with some worldly good deeds- may not think that deeds without belief has eternal value.

Also Allah -the Almighty- in the Majestic Qur'an indicates that:

Qur’an 42:20 Whoever desires the gain of the Hereafter, We will give him more of that gain; and whoever desires the gain of this world, We give him some from it, and in the Hereafter, he has no portion.

Islamic Hadiths clearly interpret this verse: Whoever has intentions only for the life of this world, there will not be for him in the Hereafter, a portion; and whoever has intentions for the benefits of the Hereafter, Allah will give him the benefits of the world and the Hereafter. (Osool Kaafi, …)

Also Imam Sadiq (PBUH) has said:

Whoever knows the Imam from Mohammad's AhlulBayt (PBUT), and has his Wilayat, with that recognition which he has, he benefits from his good deeds … and he who has accepted the Wilayat (lordship) of an unjust leader whom Allah has not confirmed his leadership, Allah will not accept his deeds. (Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 27, p. 170; …)

When the Imam was asked about the fact that if his statements meant that the Shi'ah could do anything without worry; the Imam got upset and responded that they should do good, and because of their Belief in Imamate, their good will be accepted; i.e. without the Belief in Imamate, good deeds are not accepted.

The following verse also emphasizes on this point that being a Believer is the requisite for a pure life, and that the reward of Believers is gracefully based on THEIR VERY BEST DEED:

Qur’an 16:97 Whoever does good whether male or female while he/she is a Believer, We will most certainly make him/her live a pure life, and We will most certainly give them their reward according to the best of what they were doing.

In addition, of course the Believers have the high hope that Allah accepts their repentance; furthermore, certain special Promises have been given as privileges, to those who love and know the Imam of their time; if they make mistakes, there is still hope; the chosen Imam (PBUH) of each time is like the kindest father who does not forget his children, even when they make mistakes. And Lady Fatima (PBUH), is like the kindest mother; Qur'an and Islamic Hadiths, without any doubt, confirm the concept of Intercession, "Shafa'at"; as a token we wish to present a small part of a very detailed Hadith in which it is indicated that when Lady Fatima (PBUH) will be told by Allah to enter Heaven, she will pause for a moment, and Allah will ask about the reason, and she will say that she wishes that her true value to be known, then Allah shall tell the daughter of His "Habib (beloved)" to return and see if anyone in his/her heart has her love or the love of her children, then to take him/her to Heaven with her, and… (Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 8, p. 51; …). Additionally, it is said that when a Believer -who has the Wilayat of this most blessed Progeny- faces hardships, sickness and… in this world, even a fever, his/her sins are being erased and forgiven and…

Imam Sadiq (PBUH) has also asserted that at Resurrection Allah will turn toward the Believers who were poor and lacked certain favors in this world and shall swear to His Undefeatedness and Grandeur that their poverty in the world was not to debase and degrade them and will tell them that He shall compensate for what they lacked and will give them seventy times of what was given to the people in the world … (Tafsir of the AhlulBayt (PBUT), vol. 14, p. 58; Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 7, p. 200; …)

In the Hereafter Allah shall give so much to the Believers so that they may be pleased beyond their imagination …

O Believers! LET US WAKE UP AND REPENT AND REPENT AND REPENT … AND ADJUST OUR LIVES MORE AND MORE ACCORDING TO ALLAH’S PLEASEDNESS … BEFORE IT WILL BE TOO LATE!

And as for those who do not Believe and remain sleep until death … when they die it is surely too late:

Qur’an 23:99-100 Until when death overtakes one of them, he says: Send me back, my Lord; haply I may do good in that which I have left behind. Nay! By no means! It is a (mere) word that he speaks; and before them is Barzakh until the day they are raised.

It is so sad that this weak yet arrogant human sees and deeply perceives that he lives in a world where danger have encompassed him; on the one hand worldly disasters such as earthquakes, floods and … can destroy all he has in a moment … and on the other hand moral disasters can destroy his dignity and …, yet still he refuses to cling to the Rope of Allah and seek the Salvation Ark of the AhlulBayt (PBUT) …

To be continued …
